In January we experienced some pretty awesome things! Here is a quick snapshot of them...
Abby inspected any changes to her tree "Queen of the Sky" and found that she is beginning to grow buds...in January. Her tree is a Norwegian Maple and the buds are red!
We had nature class in fog which was so super magical! I felt like I was receiving a facial, my skin loved it!
Another week we did a winter pond study. They sketched what the pond looked like in the winter with ducks standing up on the ice. We viewed pond water which was suprising clean and snowflakes in the microscope.Abby made her own ice princess dress out of a plastic tablecloth and felt BEAUTIFUL!
We did a new hairstyle that turned out super cute!
Jadon created our family with little people figurines.
Abby dressed her dinos up to get married.
Grandma Cindy sent me a valentines dress in the mail.
The kids decided to crown me queen of the house. They gave me a make-over beauty session.
Abby set up a picnic with Lilly.
Abby and I made potato stamps and created all sorts of patterns. You know kindergarten stuff!
We said goodbye to Golden and Fluffy and sent them to a new home with a nice grandpa.
We began our ABC'S co-op group. So far it is great. We gather and have a short lesson focusing either on American History, World History, or a Value. We are all reading a book each month and have a book party where we share our favorite parts. It's been grand. Then the kids get to play together.
The book we read for January was 21 Balloons byWilliam Pene de Bois. It was fantastic. Abby even made a lego replica of the balloon house. Later Abby found a picture of the first balloon launch in France that we learned about and felt so special.
Missing from the picture are Clayton and Quincy. These kids love being together.
